Hong Kong government has signed the agreement with CLP and Hong Kong Electric and has required them to purchase the renewable energy such as solar and wind energy from the residental and commerical businesses based on "Feed-in Tariff" Scheme. Both two companies indicate they will cooperate with government to promote the new project after implement of new agreement to promote the development of renewable energy in Hong Kong. Our wind powered generation system rotates vertically, solar panel could be located at the highest point of the “WindArc” system to get the maximum amount of sunlight.
“WindArc” starts operating and generating electric power at very low wind speed of 1.5 m/s. According to Beaufort scale, wind speed 0.3 to 1.5 m/s is classified as light air.
